Turnitin now available at SU Print E-mail

TurnItInFollowing the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor and Provost’s Committee on Academic Integrity (VCPCAI) and the positive results of a spring 2007 pilot study, Syracuse University has signed an agreement with iParadigms, LLC, the developers of Turnitin to implement Turnitin on the SU campus.

Turnitin is a digital assessment system through which faculty or students can upload written work to an online database. The system then provides an Originality Report that shows any matches with other works in the database, internet materials, or archives of published articles and books. The instructor or student can then decide if any of the writing is plagiarized.

This system is available via Blackboard or directly through the Internet. All faculty will receive an email with information about accessing the service. Materials for getting started are posted on http://academicintegrity.syr.edu.
