Real-time eLearning Print E-mail

This spring semester, Maxwell’s Information and Computing Technology Group has an opportunity to evaluating a unique web-based communication system called Elluminate Live!.

This platform enables real-time (synchronous) communication between people anywhere on the internet. With this Java application, an internet connection and an Elluminate account, we can create a virtual environment where you can interact with anyone else on the web through live streaming audio and video, text chat, desktop/application sharing and more.

ImageWe are currently looking for faculty and staff who have an interest in testing this type of technology with their instruction or want to evaluate how this technology can be used to conduct “virtual online meetings”. If you would like to become part of this trial, please e-mail This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

Note:  This Elluminate platform is being made available to interested Maxwell users through Assistant Professor Derrick L. Cogburn and his lab "Collaboratory on Technology Enhanced Learning Communities" (COTELCO).  For more information about COTELCO you may view the website here.
