Electronic Mail Quotas

•  Warning 100MB
• Send Restriction None
•  Receive Restriction None

Quota increases are only granted in special circumstances. Faculty, staff, and students exceeding these limits will need to delete electronic mail, re-file attachments to their home directories, or archive to stay within limits.

Home Directory Quotas

• Normal home directory quota: 500MB

Increasing Staff and Faculty Quota
Quotas are set on Faculty and Staff directories to keep one user from impacting the rest by filling up the volume and to provide feedback to faculty and staff on space consumption. Faculty and staff home directories should generally be kept under 1GB in size. ICT will archive old data to CD without fee.

Requests for increase in home directory quota should provide an estimate for amount needed. For large amounts or special projects, a projects directory should be created instead of increasing home directory quota. Anything over an additional 200MB should be approved through the systems group.
