Laptop Rental Policies Print E-mail

Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance.  Once a request is submitted, you will be contacted by a member of the ICT staff within 4 business hours to confirm availability. 
 
When availability is confirmed, a staff member will assist you with all the necessary arrangements including the payment, drop off and pickup locations and equipment orientation.
 
Rentals and are handled on a first-come, first-served basis (availability is limited).   Requests with less than 48 hours notice may not be accommodated.

Laptops must be picked up and returned, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00am and 3pm.  ***Please note that Saturday and Sunday count as additional rental days.  If a laptop is returned after 3:00pm, an additional days rent will be charged for each day it is not returned.

All data on the laptop rental will be erased upon return.  NO DATA IS BACKED UP.  IF YOU DO NOT RETRIEVE YOUR DATA BEFORE RETURNING THE LAPTOP, YOU WILL LOSE THE DATA!

Equipment is rented through Maxwell departments only and is payable with a department invoice.  View Fee Schedule here.  The renting department is responsible for all fees, ISP charges, damage and missing equipment (see below).   
 
Repair or Replacement Fees:
If items are broken or missing, the renting department will be charged for the repair / replacement.  If the equipment is lost or stolen, department could be charged for the full value. 
 
2007 Replacement Costs:
Laptop - $2500.00 each
Projector - $1500.00 each
EVDO PC Card - $300.00 each
