Projectors and Document Cameras: PC and Laptop ProblemsIf you have turned on the projector and selected PC, but the monitor in the Teaching Cart won't come on, check to make sure the monitor's power switch is on. The switch is located on the front, right-hand side of the cart behind the Document Camera. If you have turned on the projector, selected PC (or SVHS) and there is no image, check the A/B switch and make sure it is in the proper position. If you wish to show an overhead and use the PC at the same time in room 010, 032, 060 or 070, you will have to use the projection screen and the overhead projector. There is no way to show an overhead slide using the Document Camera and the PC at the same. Contact CPS x5660 for the equipment. If your laptop is not projecting on the screen, check the A/B switch in the front of the Teaching Cart. Use this switch to toggle between the Teaching Cart PC and an external source (Laptop/MAC). Make sure your connections are correct and you have selected VGA out on the Laptop. Projector Problems You must select an input for the projector on the Crestron. Refer to the specific classroom tutorial for help. Document Camera Problems If the image flickers when using the Document Camera, ensure that all of the switches (B/W or Color, Positive/Negative) on the Document Camera are in the full position. If a switch is not fully engaged, flickering will occur as you move about the Teaching Cart. Sometimes the cables that connect the Document Camera to the Teaching Cart are worn or loose. Please call Service (x-3847) to report any problems with the Document Camera.
If the image on the Document Camera
is not focused, it is not set up properly. Make sure the camera arm is
FULLY extended and the camera head is lined up properly. To focus an
image, zoom in all the way, focus, then zoom out to the desired setting.
