Microsoft Vista, Office 2007 & Active Directory

Maxwell users will see many changes in how computing is done here in our school starting this summer and continuing into the fall semester.  You may have heard about some of these changes from us (ICT) or perhaps you may have heard about these changes second-hand.  The purpose of this section of the web site is to inform you of these changes and provide you with a roadmap of what's going to happen to Maxwell computers and your Maxwell computing account.

In the simplest terms, here's what's going to happen:

• Your Maxwell computing account is going to be merged with your SU NetID
• The Windows XP Operating System is going to be replaced with Microsoft Vista Enterprise
• Microsoft Office 2003 is going to be upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007
