ICT is upgrading the server hardware running the following sites. Following this update the procedure for updating page content will change. The Maxwell School's wireless network has been upgraded to a more secure technology (802.1x). This wireless network is known campus-wide as "AirOrangeX". The older "Maxwell-School" wireless network is no longer in service. Additionally, the older campus wireless technology (AirOrange) and its login/access page (http://airorange.syr.edu) will only support PDA access. |

Maxwell’s Interactive Media Lab computers (Eggers 062) have now been upgraded with Adobe’s latest Creative Suite 3 software. For example, one can use Photoshop’s new quick selection tool to easily cut an object out of an image, animate it in After Effects, splice the animation on top of video footage in Premiere, and export it to Flash for streaming online -- all in one fell swoop. |
